Kariton Sorbetes - Melbourne

I love that Kariton offers unique vegan ice cream flavors. I tried the taho soft serve today and it might be my new favorite. The ice cream is made from silken tofu, making it refreshing and icy rather than creamy. I enjoyed the textural variation from the chunks of soy milk pannacotta and the tapioca pearls added a fun pop. The warm syrup had a sweet, dark treacle flavor rather than oolong. It's a great treat amidst the rapid gentrification of Footscray.

I was blown away when I walked into Kariton Chinatown. As a vegan, I usually find the same standard options at ice cream stores, but Kariton offers a variety of unique flavors and even serves ice cream in a bun! I've visited three times and each time I couldn't resist ordering the Pandan and coconut flavor. It's absolutely addictive. Overall, Kariton offers a one-of-a-kind experience that I highly recommend.
