The Watermark Grille - Melbourne

It turns out they are closed! I went to the address on a Saturday night at 7:30 PM after trying to make a reservation by calling four times, but I couldn't get through. To my surprise, the location at 1390 is now a Latin Cuisine restaurant!

This is a wonderful restaurant. You can really sense the passion that the owner and staff put into it. They make you feel truly welcome and genuinely care about your experience. The service is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is outstanding, starting with the fresh, warm bread served with homemade leek butter, followed by perfectly cooked mussels, shrimp, scallops, and a delicious tuna steak—all reasonably priced. The decor is both clever and cozy, featuring antique-style furniture, a baby grand piano, and Americana art on the walls.

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, so I made a reservation for my wife's birthday. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. We were greeted and seated right away. We started with the special, Mahi Bites, and they were delicious. My wife ordered one of the specials too: the Blackened Cobia, which was supposed to come with artichoke risotto but instead was served with artichoke mashed potatoes. We heard the server mention the risotto to another customer, and it sounded really good, but the mashed potatoes were tasty as well. I ordered the Cast Iron Lollipop Pork Chop, which came with the artichoke-infused mashed potatoes. Both dishes were fantastic. We ended our meal with a slice of Banana Cream Pie, which was a great finish. Overall, it was definitely worth the visit. However, parking was limited, and the entry and exit area can get crowded, as people waiting to be seated share the same space as those leaving. We will definitely return. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area that looks like a perfect spot to enjoy one of their amazing burgers with a cold beer.

Absolutely fantastic!! The decor is charming and the food is exceptional. The atmosphere is inviting, warm, and friendly. We definitely plan to make this one of our go-to spots for date nights! Highly recommended!

The chef was extremely considerate of my dietary requirements, and my dinner was absolutely delicious!
