Metro Diner - Melbourne

It was our first time at the Diner Metro, I ordered meat loaf, potatoes and broccoli. My husband ordered fried chicken, fries and Coleslaw. I ate all my food, my husband is a critic, so he complained about how salty the chicken was and how the chicken frits were cooked too fast. I had no complaints until the next morning, I had symptoms of food poisoning and my husband had the same symptoms 2 days later. Overall experience was okay, but I won?t eat more here. I fell in love with Metro when I lived in Jacksonville. The Melbourne is just as excellent with much less waiting time to get through the door! Absolutely recommend Metro to everyone, it is awarded every time for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Nice place. Appropriate sizes, decent prices. And the flavors are fantastic! The staff is also excellent. The spicy honey chicken biscuits are delicious and Juicy with a hint of a spice-kick. The steak dish was delicate and the perfect balance of steak and eggs. The cheesy grottos are great. Full taste and robust cordiality. The bread pudding... this is one of the absolutely best I had. Well worth your time and money.

I ordered the pot roast for takeout. Very nice 3 large pieces of meat and potatoes with gravy and carrots. Unfortunately, it was way too salty! I know taste buds differ; however, I have eaten lots of meals out, and this was seasoned with too much salt! It was hard to enjoy because you can't reduce the salt, lol. We always get a generous portion at this location. I would still recommend.

The second visit was as pleasant as the first one. Classic meat leaf was brilliant, but today's breakfast for lunch was very good. Will be back when we cross the way to the city. The staff is so beautiful that you don't need syrup for your waffles or sugar. Thanks for the great experience.
