Albergo Al Moro - Mel

The restaurant was recommended by the host of the house we rented. It was excellent. Food came family style and it could not have been better. Everyone enjoyed every dish we ordered. The beef steak was amazing. We had 5 people. If you would like a three course meal, there is no need to order 5 of each course because the quantity was more than you can imagine. I believe they also only take cash so check before you dine. Highly recommend.

Excellent food, Great service, friendly staff, nice view, relaxing place. If you are anywhere around the vicinity is worth to pay a visit. The steak is one good choice. One of the few places that they know how to do it Blue!!!

My stay at Albergo Moro was delightful! The rooms are very clean and extremely well-priced, and the continental breakfasts (included) were a nice touch. I booked a room here extremely last minute (several hours before I arrived) when my other plans fell through, and I ended up being pleasantly surprised in every way by my stay! Most wonderful of all was the manager of the hotel/restaurant, Roberta. She was extremely kind, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome at Albergo Moro. I arrived late on the night of my arrival, and she stayed up to check me into my room. When I checked out of the hotel, she sent me on my way with a pack lunch for my journey to Florence. I’m an American traveling solo through Italy, and she made me feel truly at home. The town of Mel also proved to be a wonderful home base for my excursions into the Dolomites. The village is small and charming, the kind where all of the residents know each other and stop for conversations as they walk past. Belluno is only 25 minutes away by bus (a 3.50-euro ticket), and it is easy from Belluno to get connections to many other villages in the Dolomite region. I had no trouble getting to Alleghe and Corvara for hiking. One thing to note: there is no Wifi in the rooms themselves, only in the common areas of the hotel. This didn’t prove to be a hassle to me, however, especially as I was mostly there to enjoy the beautiful nature all around. I highly recommend staying here! It was a very memorable stay, and at a great value!

Places in the province of belluno where you eat so well you can count only on the company of a hand. Many compliments to cooks!

We decided the last one to stop for lunch at the moro, although it was almost full, luck wanted there to be still free a table for two. past the control of the green passage, the luciana made us sit in the fireplace room. Despite the tables were all occupied, respecting the ancient distances, we were immediately served, with the usual kindness and professionalism that characterize the bit. a rich and appetizing menu served in always hot dishes, followed by staff always attentive to the needs of the customer. roberta in the kitchen always reserves us some new delicacy, luciana that constantly asks if everything is okay. seems to be in the family. the sympathy of silence relives in the dna of the daughters. on a day when snow falls copious and the panorama is admired by the immense stained glass of one of the dining rooms, stopping at the bay was a great choice.
