Schloßstuben - Meiningen

The hotel is located in the courtyard of the castle, beautiful place. Serves local Thüringer specialties somewhat different from the course of the mills. Service efficient and helpful, nice food, fair prices and servings.

Seven of us came to Meiningen for dinner last night of our trip and were not disappointed. Good food (and we especially appreciate the senior dish smaller parts of the main dishes for older people). There was an Amuse Bouche to begin and... my melt in the mouth pork cakes were very delicious and served with dumplings, a local specialty. We had a selection of good wines (the unexpectedly tasteful Saale Unstrut) and on this special evening enjoyed the pleasant experience outside in sunshine against the background of the elegant Elisabeth Castle.

Nice restaurant. Food was excellent, perfectly cooked, nicely served, menu in English (I am not speaking German). Service was really professional and friendly. Very good atmosphere. Good place to go to have fine dinning with wife or girlfriend.

The buffet is something amazing. The duck is something that i never had before. Perfectly cooked, and the atmosfera is very cozy. RACCOMANDED
