Contribuiți la feedbackWhat diamond for medway. Homey atmosphere with a very large collection of antique toys surrounding you while you dine. In business since 1939. Full bar with craft drafts offered. Absolutely loved the green fried tomatoes with a special sauce drizzled on top you'll be smacking your lips. I chose a ribeye yum hot and perfectly cooked stewed tomatoes where yummy as a side..so was the green beans. Unable to treat myself to dessert cuz I was stuffed but definitely try them next time. Staff friendly , good service. They do take dinner reservations and would consider next time if you dine after 6. It gets hoppin. Can't wait till it gets warmer..have a patio area overlooks a waterway lined by trees. Signage states live music in that area will have to check it out this summer. Located dead end of 675.easy to get to and two parking lots available. Will come again n try thier sticky burger...
New and improved (check out the WONDERFUL new patio, 110% amazing!! and some much needed updating on the menu, but still, this place remains what it is and has been for many generations, a comfortable, reliable choice, where you 're not going to get your socks knocked off, but then again, there 's a time and a place for socks to get knocked off (or to stay on... We used to live in the area, so passing through again the other night (my birthday!! , and hearing big news about updates, we decided to give it another try. Still the museum-like display of antique toys, historic local mementos, and assorted tchokes remains (thank goodness!! along with the die-hard blue hairs and their tried and true favorites. There are some new (to me menu choices, including some interesting sounding smoked meat choices (they do their own smoking out back . I had a smoked chicken 9 barbeque pizza, which was great, along with their special summer salad, also fine. The Mr. had their basket of chicken tenders and fries, and we shared a fried green tomatoes appetizer. Attentive service, cozy/homey setting (inside but the new outdoor patio is, in my opinion, the new, spunky kid brother (grandson?? of this place, and quite the contrast from the respectable, staid (ho-hum inside dining room. Now, there 's nothing WRONG with this place (indoors but it 's not the place to go, really, for any surprises. While the same menu 's offered (of course outside, the setting is just so new and fresh, you 'll feel like you 're in a completely different restaurant. If we go back, we 'd probably order a pizza, some wings to share, and drink some brews out on the patio. They even have live music scheduled out there on occasion... PERFECT setting!! Somewhat pricey, and like a bride, there 's something(s old and something(s new, don 't know about the borrowed, but you won 't feel too blue here, as there 's something here for (almost everyone, young and young at heart!!
Wow, IDK why peeps hate on this place. Live music on a patio by the creek. Wine cost does not break the bank and the service (while slower) is courteous, considerate and kind! Irony (the wine) was a jammy Pinot Noir and the house salad was generous if a tad generic. Also... it is way off the beaten path... a gem in a hole in a wall. Salmon was good too like melt in your mouth yummy and butter flavored!
Just a an impromptu dinner last night...5 in our group. Amazed by how things are changing from the old days ..$2 extra if you want to share a meal, .50 if you want sour cream on your baked potato, 1.50 extra if you want your salad to be more than just lettuce...no bread or crackers offered, only 1 side with a meal...(If you get a steak baked potato, you pay for extra side for a salad, etc) Makes you anxious to eat there soon? Well, the food was okay, not great, fish was bland. I wasn't nearly as impressed as I expected to be.
Super good food. Awesome patio! Pizza was great! BF had the sticky burger... : Go here for relaxing outdoor patio and really good food. Beer was great too!:
