He always enjoys the perfectly cooked sausages, and I had a delicious omelette that was perfectly cooked as well. The service this time was exceptional, even better than usual. This place is definitely worth a visit, just keep in mind they only accept cash or debit, not credit cards.
The food at this restaurant is delicious. My husband especially enjoys the hearty dishes served here. The omelettes are tasty, and the house-made fries are authentic and cooked on the grill. The service is excellent, especially considering the challenges many restaurants are facing during phase 3 of COVID with staffing shortages. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable.
Good food, typical truck stop menu and quality. Our server was very friendly. With our RV stopped and they had a lot of parking, a lot.
I didn't see any trucks parked in the lot, but after chatting with some locals, I learned that many have been coming here for years for coffee and/or food. The owner is also the chef, while his wife serves the meals. Despite the outdated interior, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The restaurant has survived the competition between Barrie and Orillia on Hwy. 11. Locals gather here to eat and catch up on gossip. I look forward to returning with my wife soon, as it was the charming characters I met today that made this visit so memorable.
Stop in on the 6th of Feb. Quick stop for a Peameal on a bun and a coffee to go. The sandwich was one of the best I have had. The coffee was strong but did the job as I am truck driver and need...the boost. Looking at the menu I would say food is priced accordingly and there were about 10 customers at 7 am so i would say I would give it a thumbs up.
