Skinny's Smoke House - Medicine Hat

This use to be by far, my favorite place to eat. I have ate here lots over the past few years but since the new changes to the menu i wont be back. my 2 favorite dishes were no longer available. The 3x3 was my favorite , 3 meat 3 sides for $32.00. Now the 2x2 is $30.00 , less food more money . 3 year customer , that won't be back . Why change a good thing.

This restaurant used to be great, but the brisket is now tougher than cardboard. I ordered last night and couldn’t even eat the ribs or the brisket I got. I'm not very impressed and I won’t be spending $50 on a meal here again!

This is a fantastic hidden gem! Be sure to use a map to locate it, and remember that you'll enter the parking lot from the side. You can drive around the building to find parking. The food is excellent, featuring delicious Southern BBQ style dishes.

We came on Sunday of a long weekend. The place was empty at 7pm, but according to the hostess, we just missed the dinner rush. It 's probably faster to list what they had than what they didn 't have. When we ordered drinks, we were told that there was no draft beer, because their pipe burst. We ordered the brisket, and we 're told they were out. We ordered the tater tots pie and the mac cheese as a side. After about 10 minutes, the server informed us that they were out of chili and therefore couldn 't make the tater tots pie. After another 10 minutes, the server stopped by to inform us that they were also out of mac cheese. How that came up so late is inexplicable to me. Mind you, I could make fresh mac cheese in that time. When the food finally came, it was cold and bland. The ribs were so dry that they were pretty much inedible. This was not just an off night but appears to be a pattern based on previous reviews. It 's been a while since I had a meal this bad.

We had 2/2 for $29. Sooo worth it. We left with so much food and we ate until stuffed. The brisket melted in the mouth and the mac cheese was mind-blowing! The ribs were perfectly cooked and sauced. Our server was very pleasant. We very much enjoyed our dinner.
