The Porch Southern Fare Juke Joint

The food at this restaurant was not impressive, and I do not plan on returning. The service was average. I ordered the tombstones at twilight cocktail and the Banty sandwich. The cocktail was tasty, and the sandwich was decent. However, the sandwich was supposed to be Nashville hot but lacked any spice. The fries seemed like they were just store-bought frozen crinkle cut fries. My friend's mac and cheese was flavorless and watery. The grits were overly liquidy. They do offer live music on select nights, and there is a cover charge after 9pm for those nights.

We ordered three dishes: buttermilk biscuits as an appetizer, chili for my wife, and a brisket platter with grits and mashed potatoes for me. The brisket was flavorful but slightly lacking in portion size. The BBQ sauces really enhanced the dish, especially the one with coffee. The grits were different than expected but tasty, and I enjoyed the mashed potatoes as well. Unfortunately, my wife's chili was not served hot and was lackluster, with unmelted cheese on top. She even remarked that I make better chili at home. The biscuits were served last, which was not a good sign for an appetizer. They were overcooked on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The restaurant did remove them from our bill upon request. My wife's verdict was the same as with the chili: "You make better." We hope that the restaurant will improve for future patrons, but we do not plan on returning. We ended up celebrating our anniversary at a different restaurant in another town. Parking: There are a few spots right in front of the restaurant.

I wish this restaurant was nearer to my home because I would definitely visit more often! The ambiance is cozy, the food is delicious, the service is excellent, the bar and bartenders are great, and the entertainment is awesome. I had the pleasure of watching Jeremiah Johnson perform and was thoroughly impressed. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant and venue! Rating: Food - 5, Service - 5, Atmosphere - 5.

This restaurant was amazing. Parking was easy, located in the accompanying parking garage downstairs, just a two-minute walk to the door. The food was delicious - definitely try the banana pudding and brisket Sammy. The only downside was the loud music during dinner time, especially when seated next to the band. However, the band was fantastic. The pimento cheese appetizer was really good, but it came in a small portion for the price. They should consider making it a bit bigger. Other than that, no complaints.
