Hot Tamale - McMinns Lagoon

Hot Tamale is known in Darwin and for good reason: They have excellent food and delicious cocktails (and they produce some of the best bartenders in the NT). We have the Street Food Platter that was a mountain of food for $70, price sounds somewhat steep, but it is worth every penny. Each dish was delicious and made from high quality ingredients. There was more than enough food for two hungry adults. We enjoyed tasting the highlights of the menu. Of course, the drinks are also excellent. There is a large terrace directly on the water, many seating also on weekends. The staff was very clear when they were closed and allowed everyone more than enough opportunity to order their last drinks/food. Fantastic atmosphere, great service, great food and delicious cocktails they have everything.

This place is the city of lights. fantastic interior and seating (indoor and outdoor). Great menu for the whole day. Especially classic drinks options such as cocktails and sangria. Sure, delicious food. Go to the Mexican restaurant if you're a foodie.

We had Jalapeno Crujiente, Street Corn Ribs, Tostada de Ceviche, Achiote Chicken Taco and Citrus Pulled Pork Taco. Everything was delicious. We loved the corn. Great service.

The Mexican food here is excellent. The corn ribs are a perfect 10 for flavor. The tacos are well-sized, and you have the choice between corn or flour tortillas. I highly recommend the fish taco. There are also some unique options for Sangria; the red Sangria was quite good, and it's easy to spend some time enjoying a few pitchers.

What a little gem of a place, great flavours and speedy service (we ordered ate chatted and then left within 45min! And great Mexican atmosphere without it being cheesy! We ordered a range of foods including the chicken nachos, loaded fries tacos. Only lower point the tacos weren't that good and at $8-$9 per taco was a little bit expensive.
