Three of us had dinner in a smaller room off from the large main room. There was another table of five women also in this room. We had nice seats, a quieter room, and excellent service. We decided to split two appetizers and two main courses between us. The carrot slaw was plentiful and a nice counterpoint to the leek and scallion dumplings (Aushak). The braised lamb and greens gave us a nice amount of tender lamb, greens, and plenty of rice. Our vegetarian stew (Baadenjaan Karahi) was a rich contrast to the more simple spices of the lamb dish. Our server was very attentive, supplying us all with small plates and extra spoons for serving. We enjoyed full glasses of wine or beer along with our meal. It was a very nice evening together.
