Maxwell Wines - MCLAREN VALE

An exceptional fine dining experience from beginning to end. Hats off to the chefs for taste, quality ingredients and specifically the presentation. We also opted for the wine pairing with our degustation. The wine pairings went well with our meals, however we would’ve loved to learn more about the history and tasting notes. Unfortunately due to restrictions being implemented the night before our visit and not to cancel guests bookings, all seatings were reduced to 2 hours with a reduced menu. As a result, we were more tipsy than full by the end of the meal but understandably, Maxwell did what they could given the circumstances. We definitely are keen to go back for the full experience.

If they are looking for the premium or upmarket winery experience, then maxwell’s is a good option for them

Did the Mead tasting with petit fours. Very enjoyable. Had to do the hedge maze to sober up.

Can't forget our wine tasting experience here! Well explained background of each drink and clear description of the drinks are also written. Reasonable time was given to enjoy each wine and to decide which one to get. Very accommodating! Great service and great wine!

My family and I were booked to have lunch at the restaurant on Saturday. Unfortunately due to bad weather our cruise ship is now no longer stopping in Adelaide .We called the restaurant as soon as we were notified which is still 46 hours away from our booking time . The restaurant refused to cancel our booking and charge us a cancellation fee . I believe the restaurant is very unreasonable and inflexible ! I would like to warn others that this may happen to them if they are unable to attend their booking due to unforeseen circumstances !!!
