Pepe's Tacos Y Mas - McKinney

We visited Pepe’s Taco’s y Mas tonight for the first time. Several of our friends had been telling us how good it was, so we gave it a try tonight. We were the 2nd table in the entire place when we arrived at 7:45. The facility was very clean at first look but I was a bit disappointed that the men’s restroom was out of handsoap. There also were a lot if dirty glasses on the bar that were in plain sight and should have been out of sight. The chips and salsa were really good. We also ordered a cup of queso which was really good as well. The menu had about 10-15 items covered by masking tape which they were either out of or no longer carry. We ordered our entrees and we were greeted by the Chef from the kitchen. He gave us a sample of a new food they were going to be offering. It was amazing! He visited with us for a few minutes and was super nice. We then received our entrees and they also were really good. We will be giving this place another shot. If they would get an updated menu, keep the dishes better cleaned up, and keep the restrooms properly stocked, I would give it a 5 out of 5 for sure. Especially since our server was super sweet and took really good care of us.

Great owners. They're starting the business and we need to support them. They're trying hard to please and serve the best they can. My wife and i liked the food specially the churros with dulce de leche !

Great place to find authentic tacos, rice, and beans! Tacos were good size and the queso was fantastic. You should also make sure to try the margaritas! Definitely coming back!

Okay service, but GREAT food. The atmosphere was good, but the table we sat at was a little cramped. We had a large group though, so I couldn't be mad. My table got Flautis, Quesadillas, Beef Tostadas, and a couple combo plates. Everyone loved what they got, especially the fish taco and everything that involved their steak. It is soooo tender. They have good salsa, good queso, good churros all around solid mexican comfort food. The owners were super nice too. We always love to support a locally owned restaurant, and while the service is still learning a little bit 3 months after opening, the food is really good. I took pictures of the menu so people can feel motivated to come give them some love. While the parking lot always looks full, the restaurant itself isn't, so don't shy away.

My husband and I tried Pepe’s Taco’s y Mas this evening for the first time and we both agreed that this is going to be our new spot for good Mexican food and drinks!!! The restaurant is very clean and decorated so beautifully. The food was so awesome. I had the chicken fajitas and my husband had the barbocoa and beef enchiladas. We had several staff members that checked on us throughout our meal. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive. The owner and his wife were absolutely a joy. The owner actually sat with us and talked to my husband about their favorite seafood adventures and so forth. He was a very genuine man. My husband tried the Vodka Martini for the first time and now that will be his new go-to drink when we go there. We had a very nice experience and our only regret is not checking this place out sooner!!!! To our surprise, there was also live music!! We will definitely be back (often!
