Cristina's Mexican - McKinney

For appetizers, I ordered the Chile con queso, and for the main course, I went with birria tacos while my partner chose chicken fajitas, along with a top-shelf margarita. The food was absolutely delicious, and we didn't have to wait long at all after placing our orders. The chicken in the fajitas was perfectly seasoned. The Chile con queso was decent, though I imagine the version with ground beef would have been even better. My only complaint was that my drink didn’t quite hit the mark; I was hoping for better from a Mexican restaurant. On the whole, the place was clean and well-maintained. I’ll definitely be back for those birria tacos and the fantastic service!

The experience was just average overall. The avocado soup lacked flavor, and the chicken breast was dry, though it was covered in a heavy white gravy. Unfortunately, the avocado was moldy. On a positive note, the service was friendly and efficient.

We came here for Friday night dinner and were seriously looking forward to some authentic, flavorful mexican that is abundantly available in the are but unfortunately, not here. The food had no fresh quality to it the queso was like kraft cheese (see photo), the tacos were just chicken cooked in a store bought taco sauce with no chopped onion/cilantro/lemon/anything fresh on top, the flautas were dry fried rolls of tasteless shredded meat with a sauce that also felt like it wasn't made in the kitchen. The guacamole and the rice was the only saving grace. The portions were reasonable, the margaritas were good. But wouldn't recommend the food if youre looking for something fresh and flavour packed. The service was good.

We had lunch at Christina Mexican Restaurant in McKinney and we were very pleased. They consistently serve delicious food. The vegetarian fajitas and fish tacos are both fantastic!
