Jalapenos Wrapped in Bacon....Amazing, Artichoke, garlic and Parmesan soup, the best soup I had in the states. The southwest steak with a coffee and chili rub... excellent. The Peanut butter cheese cake was ineffective. What a jewel in McCook.
Enjoy a fabulous dinner at the Coppermill Bar on our way to Iowa from Colorado. Lexi, our bartender, made us an absolute treat all night. Copper mill is an oasis in the middle of the nowhere Nebraska, but offered large city menu items that were incredibly well prepared. From the dry rib to the exotic options on the cocktail menu and the well-trained staff, we would not have had an amazing night after a long windy ride on the motorcycles. Recommend a stop-- even if it's out of the way. Go on!
Pricy, but soooo good. I went hog and got the Southwest Ribeye plus a couple of cocktails, so I spent a pretty penny, but they have good opportunities for a budget. The staff was great. If I had a criticism of the SW Ribeye, it would probably be that the wort was a bit too strong and the taste of the meat hidden a little, but it was still delicious.
Located behind the Runza, the hotel has spacious parking and a remote vibe. Christina was our waitress for an early dinner. She was attentive, friendly, personal and understanding for my toddler daughter and her mess. We ordered the Calamari Appetizer, roasted shrimp, chicken fried steak dinner and the salmon dinner. Both dinners included the possibility of the house salad, caesar salad or beer cheese soup. The chicken fried steak was a huge top Sirloin cut and tasted phenomenal. The Bourbon white engraving on top over potatoes really brought the dish together. My New Hampshire born and raised father said the salmon was the best he ever had. We agreed both between the service and the kindness of all these employees and the superior quality of food, that this was one of the best (if not best) meals we had in this county region. Prices are expected for a higher steakhouse. But they mirror directly the parts and the high quality of the product. I can't begin to rave enough about this place! With what is said... The only negative I have is that there is no changing table in the toilet. That made it very difficult to change my 14-month. Apart from that, everything was spectacular!!!!
If I don't want to smoke and sear a steak myself this is my favorite spot to go without a doubt, you won't find a better steak at any restaurant in McCook. The lobster stuffed mushrooms are also to die for. I highly recommend the ribeye or filet
