We moved from California to Texas a few months ago and I've tried brisket at numerous Texas locations from San Antonio to the RGV. BBQ is definitely a labor of love. The brisket was drenched in this sauce and was cut very thin. My brother in law has made brisket in a similar way and it was good. I've had brisket at other establishments and the brisket stood on its own. Tender and juicy. The flavor of the brisket, without any sauce, has always been outstanding. This place just didn't do it for me. My wife said the sausage was dry. I looked at the sausage and it was clear it was dried out and over cooked. The service was great but the food was just okay. Try it out for yourself. My wife and I won't be going back and I don't send friends to places I wouldn't eat.
Expectations were met in any case. we have the chicken quarter and the Fjita plate. unfortunately they were out of half the huh, so we have to come back and try that. the meal was good. the portions were large and contain 3 sides, borons, rice and potato salad. before their meal arrives, they also bring homemade chips and salsa out. determined satisfied total
I visited to borrow my tickets from a brisket sandwich plate fundraiser (including rice and bor) it was delicious! although if they don't like very humid / greasy braut, this could not be their taste! I've also tried that, and I've tried kartoffel salad. overall I was satisfied with taste and portions.
I love Ramos BBQ. Whether it's for lunch, weekend meal or family gatherings they never fail. Food is always delicious.
The barbecue is always good here. I've never been here and they have an off day. They have a really good selection of meats as well as sides. The staff is always very attentive and very polite. This is a good place to get a quick lunch but get here on time seating is limited but worth any wait.
