Prime Steak Seafood - McAllen

We had a fantastic date night! The service was exceptional and the food was delicious! We have decided that this will be our new go-to spot for date nights.

I don't mind spending money on a good meal, so I decided to try this restaurant for a good steak. I don't like to give compliments as it can sometimes drive customers away. I ordered a NY strip steak, grilled shrimp, and baked potato. It took a while for the food to come out, and when it finally did, it sat for 5 minutes before the waiter brought it to me. The steak was average, the shrimp were good, but the baked potato was swimming in a spicy sauce that was not mentioned. I don't like spicy food, so my $7 baked potato was barely edible. I had to remove it from the pool of sauce, and the waiter just took the plate away without asking if everything was okay. When I pay a premium price, I expect a better dining experience. Unfortunately, no one seemed to care about my dissatisfaction. That was my experience.

Birthday party. we ordered steaks, pizza, salat, ceviche pasta, kartoffeln, rahm spinat and austerity! everything was great until we got 2 of our steaks and you got a little too tuff. we said it to the waiter. the waiter took it back and brought us a fresh steak. it was wonderful! we had a wonderful experience. we come back! four of the 6 people had not been with prime before.

Prime is a really high end restaurant trying to be a sports bar. With TVs on either side of the bar it raises the noise level to where my Wife and I had trouble conversing. They should scrap the TVs and focus on their great food and service. Appetizers were meals in themselves. Aged steaks, lamb, lobster Thermador to die for. Bar has extensive selections including Wellers bourbon and 30 year old McAllen Scotch. Great place to go for that special occasion.

Our server was so polite and very helpful. It was our first time and we loved everything about our experience!
