The Meeting Place - McAlester

My group of three others and I ordered two hotdogs, a side of mashed potatoes, and a burger. We waited 45 minutes to receive two cold hotdogs with buns so hard we couldn't eat them, a bowl of instant mashed potatoes, and a mediocre burger. The prices were $11 for the burger, $5 for each hotdog, and $2 for a small bowl of potatoes. I would not recommend wasting your time or money at this restaurant.

The army chow was of very poor quality and taste. We paid over $50.00 for the senior buffet for four people and I was extremely disappointed. I would never recommend eating at this restaurant as it cannot be considered a dining experience.

What can I say except that they have the best onion rings we've ever eaten. the hamburgers were huge and very good. I had the Ruben who was excellent. The service was fantastic and everyone waited for us from the cook to the server. It was slow enough that we could visit the staff and we really enjoyed each other. They bend back to offer a wonderful meal and fantastic service. We will definitely come back and bring the rest of our family! You also have buffets that sound good.

The food was excellent. They had delicious choices we wanted to pick up from, everything we tried was delicious. The staff was so friendly and they kept our drinks full. Nice place to go and they even have rooms you can have a dinner party.

The food quality has declined significantly and is no longer as good as it used to be. It can be hit or miss and the prices are high for the inconsistent quality. The service is extremely slow, so be prepared to wait well over an hour for your food. If the restaurant is busy, it's best to avoid it unless you have a lot of time to spare.
