Mountain State Brewing Co. - MC HENRY

We got our food before our drinks and had to ask twice for them after receiving our food. Pretzel was hard as a rock and the cheese sauce was lumpy and cold. Nachos were cold as well. Server was inattentive, hardly seen, and looked like he’d rather be anywhere else. Was disappointed since we love the Morgantown one so much and was excited to try this location since we recently moved to Oakland

Amazing food and impressive selection of gluten-free options. Only drawback is the music is so loud you can't understand it or what anyone is saying.

Very nice country setting. Very big menu with a lot to drink! Indoor and outdoor seating. Just about a mile off the main highway from Deep Creek. Definitely check it out!

Interesting beer selection but a little IPA heavy for my liking. (I had the Miners Daughter Stout, which tasted like a stout IPA. I had the Caprese sandwich, and two fellow diners had the French Dip. They got the better end of the deal. The Caprese was like a salad with a little bit of mozzarella between two bread slices. It tasted OK but compared poorly to similar sandwiches I've had. On the plus side, the potato salad was homemade and tasty, even if the potatoes seemed like they were cut with a shovel. The French Dip was excellent a candidate for best ever. And all the pizzas we saw served to other tables looked delicious. Our server was competent but must have been working a lot of other tables in other rooms. There are a lot of other Deep Creek eateries that we'll try first before going back to MSB.

Mountain State Brewing is our go to place when we come and stay in McHenry. Some of our faves are the beer (had the blueberry sour today , the loaded potato flatbread (we only had a small but get the large because it warms up well for a second meal/breakfast the next day! and my favorite prosciutto and pesto pizza! Lots of seating inside and the view outside is beautiful!
