Chill and Grill - Mazatlán

We went here because we had enjoyed a guitar player at a restaurant in town, and he told us his band played there every Wed afternoon. Honest John and the Truth is the band, and they were fantastic, and the setting was so nice, outside along the marina, so views of the water. Service was very good, they even called a taxi for us when we left. We didn't eat, but enjoyed the whole experience, and will go back next trip.

What I am doing here? was in my mind multiple time when I was in this place. First the waiter came and said "what do you want" we answer "what do you have" and he said "everything", then we wanted a stout beer from tap, he said they do not have tap beer, then we said ok just a stout beer, and then he said we only have four kinds of beer which I personally dont prefer, so I order a lemonade. Then, in their limited menu I order a Mahi Burger, and he impolitely said "Its not Mahi season", after I just had Mahi one day before, my boyfriend order a Rib Burguer, and they did not have Ribs either so I said I guess its not Rib season either. We end up ordering Tuna burgers, and wait too long for them, when they finally serve us, they were awful! The bread was burn, the Tuna didnt taste good and the chips were SOFT!. Furthermore, they were really expensive. The view was nice, and I thought that this was a nice restaurant but Im never coming back.Varias veces me pregunte que hago allí, el mesero prepotente, cuando le preguntamos el menu responde que tiene de todo, pero pedimos una cerveza de barril oscura, y no tenia barril, ni cerveza oscura, ni nada, termine pidiendo una limonada. Despues, y dentro del menu limitado que manejan, pedi dorado, y me contesto algo asi como "no sabes que no es temporada?", acababa de comer dorado un dia antes, mi novio ordeno hamburguesa de costilla, y tampoco tenia costilla! seguro tampoco era temporada!, basicamente ordenamos lo que tenian, y cuando llego era una hamburguesa con el pan QUEMADO, el atún mal cocinado y las papas descongeladas y aguadas. Fuimos allí porque tiene bonita vista, pero es increíblemente malo. Si quieren hacerlo bar, seria mejor para ustedes, pero pongan cervezas!!!

I've been in chill&grill few times, but always is nice to be there. Menu is quite easy, which I appreciate: juicy and chunky burgers (tuna burger is the best in town, but if you are going beefy, bbq rib burger is really tasty too.) Minute maid fresh salads are excellence choice if you are not really hungry. The view is nice: next to marina channel... nautical vibe

We heard about Chill & Grill because of the band that was playing there every Wednesday (Fairly Honest John and the Truth). We made reservations as we heard the place would be packed for this band. When we arrived it was very disorganized and they were not ready to receive people but that got straightened out within about 15 mins. The band was great, the place was packed, everyone was up dancing, the waiters were keeping up with the drink orders and the food was pretty good. The burgers were very good. The Chill & Grill is at the new marina and is a bit awkward to get to as it's a bit out of the way. The scenery is great as you watch the boats come in and go out. You get to see the people who went out fishing come back with their catch, and the iguanas sunning themselves on the rocks. Prices for food and drink are average. There was a small cover charge for the band. We put the Chill & Grill on our calendar for the place to go on Wednesdays from 2-6.
