Adagio Pasta And Grill - Mayfield

The food is good but the service is always iffy. My husband likes it but I leave with a headache from the overpowering candle burning un the entrance. Why does a restaurant not what you to smell their food cooking?

We have been impressed by the food and service at this restaurant in the past, but last night will be the last time we eat there. The food was sub-par at best. The children's mac and cheese was kraft out of the box. Not what we expect from a higher end Italian restaurant. The spaghetti and meat balls tasted like they were frozen and jar sauce. The service for 6 adults and two small children was horrible. We ordered 3 appetizers and got two with no plates after asking several times. We ate them off our napkins. One child's meal and drink was forgotten till we asked for it again. The salad (served in one LG. Bowl shareable) was served, and before we could get any on our plates, our main dish came out. Those who ordered soup and salad. They got it all at the same time. We were overwhelmed with dishes on our table all at once. Then was told by our server that they wanted to charge for two salads that were shared with the two small children (2 and 4) from the parents' plates, even though the sharable salad bowl still had salad in it. The charge was going to be 7.99 for each child. There was more, but Needless to say, we picked the wrong restaurant to take out of town guests to. We won't be back!

Me and my cousin went for lunch. We arrived bout 12:35 pm. Waitress came over in 10 minutes. Received our drinks and placed food order. We got our soup it was barely warm. Waitress stated she would get us more and bread would be out soon. Finally got second bowl of soup and it was cold. Still haven't received our food. By now it is almost 1 pm and our waitress got about 3 more tables after us. Almost 1:30 pm and all the tables after us has gotten their food. So we discussed our ordeal with another waitress. When we finally got our food. Which was chicken penne and shrimp alfredo. Mine was fine, my cousin's was watering. The manager removed my cousin's meal and I just took mine home. Was too pissed to eat.

The food reminds me of my what my Italian grandmother used to make. It is some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had eaten, with generous portions.Staff are all very kind and welcoming. It has immediately become a go-to spot of ours.
