Unfortunately, if you're in search of authentic Japanese cuisine, I regret to inform you that you may want to continue your search elsewhere. The service at this restaurant was excellent, the establishment was well-maintained, the prices were reasonable, and the food came out quickly. However, the quality of the food left much to be desired. The vegetable tempura consisted of five pieces of greasy, breaded vegetables on top of some sautéed veggies. The spicy tuna roll had a strange flavor that I couldn't quite pinpoint, while my husband's California roll was better. The gyoza was okay, but the beef filling was unusual. The edamame and seaweed salad were passable, though it seemed as though they were prepackaged. I'm not sure what the aioli was meant for. If you do decide to dine here, I suggest sticking to the sushi, though I am hesitant to fully recommend it. The restaurant had a cute and comfortable ambiance, with very attentive and courteous staff. However, I have to give a lower rating due to the food. Some dishes had flavors that were not what we expected, such as the gyoza made with beef instead of the traditional pork. The pork katsu in the bento box was also very thin. The vegetable tempura turned out to be breaded instead of using tempura batter, which was a disappointment. We did enjoy the California roll and stir-fried vegetables, but overall the food did not meet our expectations. Despite enjoying the restaurant's location and atmosphere, the food quality was the primary factor in our overall experience. Service was good, with a rating of 5, and the atmosphere was pleasant, scoring a 4. The average price per person for a dinner meal was $20–30.
