Monterrey Mexican - Matthews

This is my trip to Monterreys!! I came every night for Margs!! The staff is amazing. like family and if you? You're going back? The food is also really good!! I always go for the shrimps, but her Asada never misses. Did I mention the Margaritas?!

We 've came here for years. Ony to find today a total dislike. When we entered health score displayed 90, under 93 is unacceptable. We decided to stay. Waitress had no knowledge of bar drinks available. Ordered a peach Marguerite, it was all watery no alcohol. Asked for it to be done right and no charge on first, one, same thing again. Asked for manager, oh he is sitting over their with family, we can 't bother him . Food came, not what was ordered,Waitress said yes it was, and only one spoon of refried beans on plate. Got tab, and was double billed for the bad Marguerite and a 2nd entree billing we did not order. Tried dealing with staff, they just laughed and talked Spanish. You lost 20 yr repeat customers this time..

Great food...I've been coming here since I was a kid. The reason for 2 stars is because the person who prices drinks is insane. $20.50 for a margarita. Like for real how so you even price a margarita $20.50 in a place that shouldn't even have a drink on the menu for more than $14. I will not be drinking here ever again. The owner obviously wants patrons to drink elsewhere. Maybe it's to because they'd rather drink it all themselves who knows.

Food is over priced but it?s somewhat ok , The host was very nice and I wished I could have left him a tip but when I left he was back in the kitchen. However, my waiter was nothing but rude to me and my brother , we work in paint and on a Sunday we had to work, we stopped here for a quick lunch) I guess our attire wasn?t appropriate because everyone else around us got way better service, our waiter threw our plate of food in the table with a very rude manner ,brought two hot plates with rice and beans, also threw them on the table, and left without giving us a warning that the plates were extremely hot, my brother tried to grab it closer to him and he burnt his finger..his drink needed refil and our waiter walked by our table 3 times without asking if we were ok. When I needed to pay I left a note that said GREAT FOOD, POOR SERVICE ? PLEASE STOP JUDGING PEOPLE BY HOW THEY LOOK, I COULD PAY HIS SALARY FOR A YEAR IF I WANTED TO BUT THATS NOT THE POINT. Hire better help

Fresh and fantastic!! From the salsa and chips, lunch and dinner...great food!! Staff is very friendly!!
