Metro Diner - Matthews

Took my parents here for breakfast when they visited. We had a wonderful meal. They had the Bissel breakfast and I had the Blueberry Lemon waffle special. Oh my goodness it was amazing!!! And our waitress was so nice. She put up with my quirkinesswhen ordering. I will definitely be going back for the special!

I'm so glad I decided to try this place! The food is absolutely fantastic! I decided to go for the Chicken and Waffles, which came with strawberry whipped cream and real strawberry pieces. The chicken was crispy and juicy! I also enjoyed the coffee. However, my waitress took her time bringing my second cup, and I felt a bit overlooked by other staff members when I asked for a refill. Refills are important! Overall, I will definitely make the trip to this restaurant again, and I’ll provide some updates soon. I was pleasantly surprised!

What an awesome diner! It reminds me of the late-night spots I used to visit near downtown Charlotte. I tried the chicken and waffles, and they were incredible. The food was served really quickly, and our waitress was fantastic. Despite being super busy, they managed everything efficiently.

Excellent service and delicious food! Jasmin B was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She suggested the Eisenstadt Fleischtau and the fried chicken, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. The apple mimosas for just $3.90 were also a highlight! I always have a fantastic experience at this place. The portions are generous— I had more than enough fried chicken to take some home. I'm hopeful they'll bring back their special dishes this year!

I had an excellent dining experience with great service and tasty food! Jasmine B was incredibly friendly and attentive. She recommended the Iron City meatloaf and fried chicken, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We also loved the apple mimosas for just $3.39! I consistently have a fantastic experience at this location. The portions are generous; I even had enough fried chicken to take some home! I hope you bring back the stuffing waffles this year!
