Mac's Speed Shop - Matthews

I absolutely love grilled food, and the sampler plate at Macs is fantastic. The ribs fell right off the bone, the sausage was incredible, and the chicken and brisket were very moist. They offer a variety of barbecue sauces to choose from. The collard greens were tasty, but I wasn't a fan of the baked beans; they were too thin and had a bit of a ketchup flavor. On the plus side, the roasted potatoes were excellent. Overall, the prices were very reasonable.

We unexpectedly had a hard time locating a good BBQ spot in this area, but we ended up at this restaurant by chance. The food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The atmosphere felt somewhat like a biker bar, yet it attracted a diverse crowd. We had a wonderful meal and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

I highly recommend considering a very spicy sauce like Flip A Los; it could really boost your sales! For an ideal combo, consider pairing wings with Flip A Los Atomic sauce and crispy fries. If you're not a fan of spicy wings but enjoy a smoky flavor, this is definitely the spot to satisfy your cravings.

Nice place to stop for a quick meal, I think this is one of the oldest chain restaurants in Charlotte, which is interesting. Anyway, they have good food and well-worn perpetrators. Definitely a great place for a quick lunch.

Maddie was one of the best bartenders I've ever had. I had the brisket plate that was delicious! The Mac n cheese is a must get! Also had the sweet potato fries that were good. Very good food!! 62 beers on tap helped wash it all down.
