Contribuiți la feedbackTo stay in the province park, we arrived in mattawa and found the moon cafe central, not far from the ufer. there is a street-side terrace to watch the world, past and inside is quite large. it is more a bar than caffe with. a wide menu. the server was friendly, but their service was somewhat slow and distracted; on a Friday at 15 o'clock there were only us and the "resident-local" who left his chair at the bar after our arrival and parked on the table next to us and, despite trying to avoid eye contact, informed us that he wanted to have a smoke on the way. is what the sign meant above the door when it arrives as strangers, as friends left. whatever. I ordered the spinat and goat cheese salad, which was completely unbalanced in aromen; plucked beet with balsamicium dressing was much too much edgy. burger was good, but the only side offered with him was a ground bark soup served at the same time as the burger. has someone sweat? could be good, only for a beer looks like Mattawa's only nightlife.
I have been sitting on this for awhile but feel like I need to say something.I have been to the Moon many times and each time I was there and the owner served us the experience was great.Well I was there this past summer with my family waiting for a table. There were two dirty ones available so we sat at one and waited. There was another dirty table beside us that a couple sat at just after us.We waited and waited for service. The tattooed, pierced snotty waitress looked at us and completely ignored us. She walked over to the other table with menus and proceeded to take their orders...still we waited...20 minutes and nothing.I have no idea what her problem was but I hear she does this a lot.Anyway, we left. We went to Myrts Grill and had the most amazing food served to us by kind smiling waitresses.I will not step foot in the Moon again which upsets me because I really liked that place.
Walked on the street and had to stop at the Moon Cafe, Owner was really friendly. Atmosphere is similar to a neighborhood place "where everyone knows your name." Live music on weekends and outdoor seating for those of us with dogs. Locals all rave about how great the food is.
A great place to take a delicious, fresh ingredients, to eat. from a grilled fresh vegetable-caabatta sandwich complete with a partial to pirogies, quiche, and a lot of other food choices. all served a timely, friendly wise. beautiful dessert menu. Dine...in or outside on their terrace. would definitely recommend this facility.
If you enjoy a fancy atmosphere, then head to Haveater. It's a bit overpriced, but the salad was decent. Other than that, the wine was excellent.
