Doon Shokudo Indoyama - Matsumoto

I have been touring Japan as a musician and very much doubted I would find anywhere vegan before my show in Nagano. The couple who own this place are so lovely, worldly and fluent in English. The man imparted loads of wisdom about the curry and culture and clearly cared a lot about the craft. We had a beautiful simple bean green curry but it was so filling and delicious especially with a side of pickles and added special spice mix and handmade hot chapati. The place is tiny! But super cosy and one of a kind!

The couple that belonged to this restaurant were some of the nicest people we met on our japan trip. very inexpensive eating and always a delicious vegan option available. we just hope we can visit a fourth time of a day!

The veg tali was absolutely tasty, one of the best meals we ate in japan! the chef and the wonder was also so friendly and nice to chat, we both with big smiles on our faces.

The curry was so delicious, just what we believed for. and the type he serves is the most friendly and friendly person. I wish we could stay one night in matsumoto so we can go back there!

The curry was fantastic and authentic made by an Indian cook. he was very friendly and talked to us about how he came to lead the restaurant. there was only a vegan option, so I could not see how I could come here super often. Moreover, the part was not quite enough to match the price, according to my opinion. still absolutely recommend this place.
