Chubbies Qcina Cafe - Matina

So so love the food!! Chubbies is a great place to be with Their 3-cheese pizza is yummy!! Everything is a must try. Great ambiance and food. Excellent service. Place is quite relaxing and feels like home.

Our cheesy bacon penne pasta was smothered with cheese sauce and bacon slices (not bits, mind you ! The spicy porkchop came along with a generous serving of mushroom sauce that just the thought of it makes my mouth water! And my gosh, I was reminded that Chubbies offers the best burger along Lilac Street: their original Chubbies burger! It was so big, I had to take more than half of it home since we had pasta and a rice meal already. I love the way the patty was grilled, and what’s even more admirable is the fact that Chubbies bakes their own bread. : Before going there, I told Leo that we shouldn’t order any dessert anymore since my ref is full of birthday sweets. However, we were treated to a nice surprise thanks to the very friendly owner, Marie Joy, who sent us a piece of chewy, gooey, moist, and warm chocolate crinkle! Ay nako, it was so good, we finished it even if we were already full! Chubbies is definitely one of the food places I’d recommend you to try if you’re along Lilac Street in Marikina! They are now located in front of China Bank! The place is bigger and better looking than their previous location!

A house turned restaurant is a relaxing way to dine. Everything is authentic in a way that it reflects the owners of the place. Bookshelves, figurines, everything you see in a typical home! The service is quite poor, though. When the place is fully occupied, their manpower remains at around 2-4, which makes you dread the wait. BUT! Once the food arrives, you know it's worth it. A+!

The ambiance was fine. It felt kinda homey! ? their food was great. We tried their new york cheesecake, barbecue rice, spicy pork steak, bacon something pasta and bacon mushroom pizza. The taste was really great plus they really have fast service! The only thing I don't like about the place is that...they didn't have wifi. Haha! But overall, you should really try this out!

I usually don't go out on a Sunday as it is the only time I can take the whole day to rest but when I heard about the Tinapa Pasta, I could not resist not to try it. So one Sunday morning I decided to see my boyfriend who lives in Marikina. I travelled from Makati to Marikina to just actually try the food. I was entirely enthralled to see the menu, they have a variety of choices and the prices are very pocket-friendly. Of course I've ordered Tinapa Pasta which was very pleasing to my taste. My boyfriend ordered tapsilog which has a distinct taste as well. Their Frothy Iced tea and their Brownie Ala Mode were fine. I'm happy to note that my travel was all worth the effort, time and money. On the other hand, the place was too small and the quality of service was a bit slow. People kept coming in so I suppose they need more service staff to cater the needs of the customers.
