Contribuiți la feedbackI loved it!!! A nice place to feel connected to Spain in NZ! The seafood paella was so nice, with no fishy taste (which I do not mind but some people do). The lentils soup was very tasty. The wine selection is amazing, perhaps more Spanish wines would be cool. The dulce de leche dessert was very yummy. The staff are super helpful and the prices are reasonable.
I loved the ambience and decor of casita Miro. It’s like a little hidden paradise on waiheke. The food was all great and reasonably priced. Loved the drinks list too. The only reason for 4 and not 5 was just a slight lack of wow factor/ innovation. Nothing blew my mind. However, I would definitely come back as I still loved the food.
When you visit Casita Miro to dine, you don't just come for a lunch. You come for a long, leisurely afternoon experience. I'd highly recommend booking a table if you're on a romantic Waiheke weekend away, or wanting a noteworthy celebration with close family or friends, and making pretty much a full day of it. My parents, partner and I certainly did, and it's a meal that will long stay etched in our dining memory! Opt for the set menu and let the chef and wait staff look after you. Sample a few different wines that are local/home grown and recommended to go with your food, and then either settle for a bottle of something a wee bit different or go on an exploratory journey glass by glass. The fact that the restaurant is set on a vineyard doesn't make it stuffy or super fancy. In fact, the dining area is very relaxed and comfortable, with gorgeous views. Food wise, everything comes out in its own time, and you are treated to classic seafood dishes, salads, paella, and churros, plus more interesting treats in between. The staff are more than willing to adapt for dietary requirements and there's a great social, inclusive vibe with conversations striking up amongst diners, wait staff and wine tasters all over the room. You will not regret a booking here I just really hope you're not the designated driver for the day!
Easily one of the best restaurants in Auckland. The food is spectacular and the service is friendly and professional. The atmosphere is also amazing, you feel transported to Spain instantly. Awesome to see more gluten free, dairy free and even vegan options on the menu too
Had a two-day escape in Waiheke and chanced upon this vineyard at lunch time. Place was packed but we managed to get a table. Decided to get the fiesta menu for $85 pp with appetiser, entrée, mains and dessert to share. Wines are not part of the menu so have to order separate. Food was fantastic, the wait staff was knowledgeable of great wines to offer, and the place was lively. Overall was a very good experience. Personal favourites would be the platter and the paella and the churros with the dark chocolate mixed with a sweet red wine is amazing. A well deserved 5*.
