The Hopbine - Matfield

I made a reservation yesterday for a group of seven, and we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was delightful, and the food was incredible. One standout dish was the whole Cornish squid special, which was cooked to perfection—truly the best you'll find anywhere. The bar staff were also very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone in the area! On a chilly winter day, the nice open fire adds to the cozy ambiance. As for parking, there's free parking available next to the pub. It can get a bit busy during peak times, but you'll always manage to find a spot.

What a hidden gem! Without a doubt, this was the best roast we've ever had! Everything was incredibly delicious and served piping hot. The food is consistently good, almost always. However, one would expect proper homemade chunky chips or fries instead of frozen ones. The pizzas are fantastic, and the Sunday lunch is a must-try. It's best to make a reservation through their online system. The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is pretty good, though they might benefit from an extra pair of hands during busy times. Overall, I'd rate the food a 5, the service a 4, and the atmosphere a 5.
