Gannon's Station Cafe - Massapequa Park

I was waiting at the bar for several minutes without anyone ordering drinks. Finally, when the bartender asked me what I wanted, he requested to see my ID. I didn't mind since I am 28 years old and my driver's license confirms my age. However, without scanning my ID, he then told me "not a chance" and refused to serve me. I went to the next door bar where I received a beer and gave the bartender a generous tip. The service was poor and the atmosphere was unpleasant. I will be going elsewhere for drinks in the future.

I went to a restaurant on a Friday night around 8. I stood at the bar for 20 minutes before asking the person next to me where the bartender was. He said the bartender was probably in the bathroom. I asked if he could see him, and he pointed to the man playing pool. When the bartender finished playing, he finally came over to me and immediately told me to take my hat off the bar. I removed my hat and put it on, commenting that people had told me he was in the bathroom. The bartender replied rudely, asking why it mattered to me. I decided to leave, and took a break on a bench outside where an older man with a bicycle offered me some kind of pre-rolled cigarette, which seemed to be drugs. It appeared to be a sketchy establishment and perhaps the town should investigate the man with the bike.
