Jack's Cafe - Maryville

Food City is perfectly fine as a grocery store, selection and service good. I want to address the person complaining about the prices for delivery on Instacart. I've used Instacart Food City Delivery once. This was because I was in a spot and needed groceries and had no other way to get them other than delivery. Yes, the prices were much higher, but I saw how high they were as I was ordering. Didn't you? So at that point I could decide whether or not I wanted to pay that much extra for the convenience of delivery. I decided that I did, although it's not something I plan on doing very much in the future. If I hadn't wanted to pay those prices, then I could have decided to never finish my Instacart order. Bottom line, you should have seen the prices as you were ordering and you could have decided not to finish the order. Why are you complaining afterward?

I noticed one of the aisles was labeled oriental food and I feel as if in 2020 we can safely retire that term and simply say Asian food instead.

This is one of the cleanest and best run grocery stores I've ever been to. The produce section is really nice, well organized, and lots of options. Always seems to be in perfect order.The meat and seafood departments are excellent as well. They have the best tuna steaks around and they're once-frozen so I can use them for my homemade sushi and sashimi with full confidence. And I'm half-Japanese so my fish standards are very high. Also the sushi they make is high quality which surprised me for a store based in TN, KY, and southwest VA. Best grocery store sushi I've had even on the East Coast.Service is outstanding as well. Very helpful and personable.
