Contribuiți la feedbackMy son and I had dinner at circle d. I had a pork cooked in adobo with polnta and grilled zucchini. my son had a speckkäseburger with fritten. they were both so good. the black fell from the bone and was so tasteful. my sons burger just tasted super and the riders were some of the best I ever had. I was shocked to be honest. it was worthy of a high-end restaurant. for dessert I had her cheesecake that was delicious and her cocktails were inventive and very well made. the atmosphere was great, the restaurant was clean and the service was very good. I can't say enough about this place. if they're in town.
My husband asked for a dark beer on their menu but was told they had none of the listed bottled beers; only the 5 they had on tap. So he asked if any of those were dark beer. The woman pouring the beer said hoodoo was the darkest they had but it wasn’t a dark beer. He asked if it was amber and she said yes. As she was pouring it it was clear that it wasn’t an amber beer. Gerry said so and she replied that that was so but it was very popular. We were told no tastes or samples of beer were allowed. When Gerry sat down and took his first sip of beer he found several pieces of something hard in it that fortunately he didn’t swallow and picked out. We flagged down someone we saw who was bussing tables. When my husband said there were pieces of something hard in his beer this man immediately said it was probably glass and reached for the glass. He offered to replace it with a different beer. My husband decided to try the sour they had on tap, which he didn’t like and didn’t drink. Significantly later another man came by and asked how our meal was. We immediately said the glass in the beer really spoiled the whole experience of eating there. This person, who i think was probably the manager, though he didn’t introduce himself said he had heard about that and it had probably chipped off the glass the beer was in. We said the glass appeared intact. Then he said it was a problem they had because of how they stack their glasses and just now he had been checking other glasses to be sure it didn’t happen to someone else. Clearly this was a problem both the waiter and manager knew about. Then the manager said he was profoundly sorry this happened. He did not ask how the replacement sour was. It was near the end of our meal by then and clearly Gerry wasn’t drinking it. He did not offer to refund the cost of the beer. They had asked for payment when we ordered so we couldn’t subtract the cost ourselves. Still later as we were gathering things up to leave a woman came by and asked how our meal was. My husband said it was terrible. I said the glass in his beer made the whole experience terrible as we were unsure if anything there was safe to eat. She seemed shocked and clearly hadn’t heard about the glass. She apologized it had happened but didn’t deny it. My husband said he would be leaving a review about it on social media as that seemed to be our only recourse. Then we left. Other than undercooked bacon the cheeseburger was good. The chips with the guacamole were different than usual; they had a red seasoning on them that made them saltier than most chips. I liked that but felt the guacamole was very bland. Overall how can anyone say a meal where they were served shards of glass was anything but a horrible experience? Final insult was when my husbands review on trip advisor was removed and he got a notification that it violated your standards. This clearly wasn’t the only time someone had been served beer with glass in it. It was a known problem they attributed to how they stack their glasses, yet they had not fixed. That they didn’t refund or even offer to refund the cost of the beer is outrageous itself but that they serve anything in glasses they know might have shards of glass in them is inexcusable. If trip advisor and Yelp refuse to accept these reviews I guess the county health authority will be our next step. If someone actually swallowed shards of glass it could cause serious damage. Trout blt was amazing. türkei, ham, club was so big, could only finish 1/2. I love this small place indoor or outdoor casual fining, great selection. russ, our waiter was muded and has made a great job! we're coming back!
This place has maybe the worst selection of beers I 've ever seen, no dark or even amber. I finally settled on one and my wife and I ordered some guacamole and chips and a bacon cheeseburger to split. I 've never tasted tortilla chips that salty and the guacamole was just average. Before the burger arrived I took a drink of my beer and found hard glass like shards in my mouth, I told the fellow who was delivering food to tables and also bussing tables. His first comment was must be glass. He did bring me a glass of something different. The bacon on the burger was very under-done, the fatty part was still white. No mustard, ketchup, salt or pepper on the table. The french fries were mediocre. Nobody asked us how the food was until we were leaving. The fellow who took our order knew about the glass and all he was said was sorry and the made excuses about how it could have happened.
You can go to a number of restaurants around Bryce Canyon. Circle D will not only satiate your appetite, but also saturate the experience with the zeitgeist of southern Utah. Maybe it was the hospitality, perhaps the perfect lighting and decor. Perhaps the scented candles emitted some mystical aroma that somehow did not perfume the taste out of the large portions. Can’t figure it out, but just felt like being immersed in a great big internal and external gustatory embrace.
