Pousada do Marvão

Pousada Marvão é a antiga Pousada de Santa Maria, que foi remodelada pelo grupo Pestana e manteve algumas características que preservaram a história da antiga Pousada. A vista da Pousada é muito bonita. O quarto não é muito grande, mas é confortável. O café da manhã é bom. O atendimento é muito bom, com destaque para Suzana, que com muita presteza nos deu dicas valiosas para aproveitar Marvão. A localização é perfeita para aproveitar as principais atrações da Vila. Recomendo!

We were not in the hotel, but we had dinner in their restaurant. excellent dinner served by a friendly and welcoming staff and the price was very reasonable. highly recommended!

On the basis of a recommendation in the guardian we visited marvão on the way back from lissabon. we thought for two nights, perfect for a serious hike during the day of our stay and a walk through the fortification of marvão. the pousada has very friendly staff. a magnificent view from restaurant to breakfast and dinner and a relaxing area to sit and read and enjoy the view and the bar. a very good experience. coming with the car along the very narrow medieval roads is a challenge that can be overcome (we have). the room decoration is original and this is in order.

The room was a suite with balcony and w amazing view. the restaurant staff was inexperienced.

Our group preordered from a set menu. Although we had ordered 9 starters. Only 4 were served. When asked to bring the missing starters, the waitress told us we could not have them. The mains were then served, instead of the missing starters. 2 meals were cold and one was not from the menu we had been given. We had to demand the food we had pre-ordered The member of staff we complained to repeatedly glared and gave us dirty looks each time she passed through the resteraunt to serve other customers. The individual behaved arrogantly, offered no apology, and refused to make any admission of error or bring the missing food. Unfortunatey, a poor experience. I cannot recommend eating here until the staff understand the importance of good customer service.
