General Store - Marshall

During an overnight stay in Marshall, we stumbled upon this charming restaurant and the nearby historic depot. What a hidden gem! The food and cocktails were excellent. My chicken piccata was outstanding and my spouse's red snapper was perfectly cooked and delicious. The atmosphere transported us back to the golden age of railway travel. After dinner, we even had the opportunity to watch the trains heading to Chicago. It was a perfect night with an unforgettable dining experience.

There's so much to love about loading this! They have everything - from great staff to wonderful ambiance.

I love this place. The staff is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for a boutique. The clothing and articles are very trendy. The environment is clean yet still has a rustic feel, which I love. The shoe selection is amazing. Keep an eye out for this business, you won't be disappointed.

This place is overrated. Food is good, service is lacking. They won’t serve you even at the bar without reservations.

My wife and I shared a 39th anniversary meal here. We dined on the soup of the day, (cabbage and sausage), two entrees (fish of the day [halibut as I recall] and jambalaya pasta) and bread pudding with ice cream. Everything was excellent. The portions and prices were appropriate for this quality of restaurant and the service was superb. We felt that our pressure was appreciated. Overall, the Ginocchio is a great place for a special meal. We will return.
