The Cafe Kleck is located in the Westheim district of Marsberg. As the name says, it is primarily a cafe. Here there is a rich selection of cakes and pastries that are made in their own confectionery – no cake comes from outside. It is possible to build on the tradition of a family farm in Germany. The cake is good and I especially recommend the Black Forest Cherry. You can sit in the cafe and order coffee, tea or chocolate, or you can buy at the counter and take the cake home. The Cafe Kleck is more than an afternoon meeting for coffee and cakes in Westheim. Actually, it's also a restaurant. You can also get some hot dishes at lunchtime. But it is also a hotel because you have some rooms to rent. Finally, it is also a village resort. One has a festival hall where events (music, market events, gatherings of associations and others take place.
Due to a birthday party we booked a night at Café Kleck. The first telephone contact was friendly, but that was the best! The rooms have the charm of the sixties inclusive linoleum floor, tiny bathroom, tube television and the dust of the last month. The coronation was, however, the breakfast! The dining room in the Gelsenkirch baroque and the rolls, probably the Café Kleck is a bakery, were baked from the day before, the coffee is inedible and all at the bargain price of 80€!!! And the friendliness and cordiality of the phone call have disappeared sometime. One disaster.
