Bayou Barn - Marrero

We got lost while looking for trails in the park and decided to use GPS. We came across what we thought was a serious, locally owned restaurant. When we arrived, we realized it was not a restaurant and were approached by a woman who informed us that it was privately owned and we were not supposed to be there. Despite there being other cars parked closer to the business with people inside, we were singled out and made to feel unwelcome. This experience felt like a clear case of prejudice and discrimination. I feel that others should be aware of how this establishment treats potential customers. It is unacceptable to judge someone based on their appearance or background. We never even got to try the food as we were immediately turned away.

I recently hired Tammy and her team at Bayonet for my daughter's Halloween party. Despite the challenges of COVID restrictions and recovering from Hurricane Ida, they did a fantastic job hosting the event with near perfection and precision. Tammy was able to work within our budget and provide advice on flowers, cakes, DJ, rehearsals, and more. I highly recommend this venue for high-time or corporate events. The staff at Bayonet were professional, polite, and a pleasure to work with. Five stars!

This restaurant is a fantastic location to host a party. I recently attended a wedding reception here and had an amazing time. The atmosphere was very impressive as it was located right by the bayou. We had a great DJ and the staff was absolutely fantastic. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the numerous ceiling fans kept the place nice and cool. There were hardly any mosquitoes to worry about as well. A big thank you to the staff for their excellent service.

We had our wedding at the Bayou Barn and it was great! We only had a few weeks to plan everything due to a covid change with a different venue but the staff at the Bayou Barn made sure that everything was perfect and ready for us. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are beautiful and the lighting looks great in photos.
