Kokoroya Japanese Sushi - Maroubra

What a great place to go to with a young family. They have a children play pen. We were there with our children grandchildren. Had a great time. Food was Great Reasonable. Don’t just listen to me. Visit the place yourself.

I ordered snapper on a stick it was soggy it wasn't cooked properly and the portion size of the little pieces of fish were terrible I also ordered the carriage chicken honey soy 6 pieces of chicken we're not talking lobster cocktails here we're talking chicken for the love of God and finally the thing that I will say that's really negative is the cost of the food I don't mind paying good money for good food and good size portions but this is just taking things little bit too far greed comes to mind. It's a real Shane because I saw the good reviews and I thought I was going to get a great meal

Great spot to eat or get delivery with nice and easy Japanese home style food. Good selection of dishes and reasonably priced. Always a good choice.

Always great food, fresh, efficient service respectful service from all staff, table service, just order off menu of individual iPad per person at your table, ordering off ipad is user friendly, friendly professional staff, cozy and clean, family and kid friendly, parking and public transport at the door, wheelchair access, ground floor, entrance off street, undercover, Anzac parade, centre of maroubra junction, reasonable prices, food served fresh and great presentation.. quantity generous, value for money.

We've been going to Kokoroya for years. Since it opened in fact. The food is always fabulous. They maintain the same impeccable standard, regardless of who is working. We enjoy using the iPad to order as it allows us to time the flow of food. If you're going for the first time, pace yourself. Order 1 or 2 dishes and then have those before ordering again. Great for families and small children. Probably not the place if you're looking for a quiet, intimate meal. We absolutely love it!
