Uptown Social Kitchen - MAROOCHYDORE

We attended Uptown for a bottomless brunch that was put on due to their sister restaurant Circa Rooftop Bar cancelling our booking 3 days prior due to weather damage. It was great of Uptown to put it on for us as they normally didn't do it however was slightly disappointed by the event. They did give us a free round of drinks, however they were just the drinks on the bottomless menu so seemed a bit pointless as we are having bottomless drinks anyway... We had 11 people attending and were given 2 booths which we barely fit in and was definitely not enough room for 11 people to eat at. We asked to move to another area which was a bit more open however would have been nice to be offered a long table or their private dining room. Especially considering the place had maybe 2-3 other small groups in there and was not busy at all. Between the food and drinks there was no room on the table and it overall was very claustrophobic. They had all doors open and no air con on so was very humid and hot which made it very hard to enjoy the experience. Food was amazing and the drinks were yummy however, it took a very long time to receive drinks. We understand there was 11 of us however, the first person in our group received their drink about 15mins before the last person. The waiters and waitresses bringing over the drinks didn't know what they were half the time and our package was essentially cut off 15mins early. Our drinks package was 2 hours so from 1-3pm, however we arrived late due to taxi issues. On arrival we were given our free drinks and we clarified our package wouldn't start until after we had finished our free drinks to which our waiter said yes. However once 3pm hit we were not offered anymore drinks and when I asked at the bar we were told no more drinks even thought we had about 15-20mins left (we had a timer going). Overall the food was great and drinks were good but it was not a good atmosphere or experience for our group.

Having worked in the area for over 10 years and visited this venue quite a few times, I am sad to say that I was disappointed with my last experience yesterday. The music was very loud making it difficult to talk and also my Chargrilled Broccolini Salad was overloaded with rocket and I had to search for the tiny bits of feta. I had mentioned to a staff member also that the ladies toilet, cubicle 1, had no toilet paper and cubicle 2 had a broken seat. Revisited the toilets some 2 hours later and still no toilet paper. Not a huge deal but it was not busy. Staff were friendly but just felt let down. Not their usual standard.

Awesome venue in Maroochydore with a great indoor outdoor atmosphere. Food is phenomenal and I love trying new cocktails. The service is also great. Georgia, Chloe Liz are legends and always a good vibe at Uptown Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
