Upon first arrival you think it 's gonna be some biker bar as you pull in and just look at the building. However, you walk in and it couldn 't be more saloon-esque. Albeit, I 've never been here during the day so I can 't review the food or daytime/afternoon atmosphere, but the late night crowd has some characters. I usually go for the pitcher, you can 't go wrong...A pitcher of beer (about 6 beers) for $10, it 's very fair in my opinion. Make sure to bring quarters, you could ask the bartender (that 's what I did but I felt like a burden) but the jukebox has more songs than I expected. The customers can talk your ear off, and that doesn 't bother me one bit. I enjoy going out to a bar, and having a nice chat every once in awhile. However, the one major reason I go here besides the really cheap pitchers has to be, the pool. It is one of the few bars around my place that has pool! I recommend this place for the 21+ male, however the female crowd I don 't think will be too fond of this place. It is by no means a nightclub, it is the definition of a dive bar.
Have been there several times in the evening but will not be going back. Unruly patrons trying to start physical altercations with other people. They waited out side to start fight and when the guest came back into bar stating he felt unsafe and asked police to be called because cell phone had died, bartender refused to help because 'he didn 't want police trouble there '. Customer safety is obviously not a priority.
Starting off with 5 Stars (Can only go downhill). Very gregarious. Likes customers to take pictures of him. Photos are posted in unusual places.
Was passing through town and had high hopes for a great sports dive bar based on reviews and was extremely disappointed. Clearly a locals only dive bar. It wasn't busy and I sat at the bar and the bartender walked by 3-4 times without even acknowledging me. I got up and left after 10 minutes of being ignored and had a great meal and service down the street at The Fix Burger Bar. Don't waste your time here.
The last bar on French Hill. So many have gone. Highland House, the Cozy, Bert's. Was afraid they'd stay closed. Glad they didn't.
