Congee Queen - Markham

The service is still good, but the quality of the food has declined in recent years. I have been a loyal customer for a long time, and I am disappointed by the decline in quality. The BBQ pork is now fatty and of poor quality.

The beef brisket in the soup was tough and unappetizing, with only about 7 pieces included. When I asked the manager, Anna, to replace the meal or add more tender brisket, she refused. I have been a patron of this restaurant for 1 1/2 years, but was disappointed by their response. I have tried this dish at many Chinese restaurants before, but never encountered such poor quality.

Eating out with friends is always a treat, especially when the food is delicious. Congee Queen never disappoints with their flavorful dishes. We ordered a variety of dishes, perhaps a bit too much, but everything was simply delicious. The food was satisfying and the service was excellent. Despite being a lot of food for seven people, we managed to finish almost everything in no time. Fast and enjoyable dining experience overall.

This is not a high end restaurant but the food is great and the price is very reasonable. You can find almost any regular dishes here like noodles, fried rices, congees, tofu, BBQ, sea food, beef, chicken, pork ... The one we like most in...this restaurant is lobster Hong Kong style. It is best to eat with a large group of 6-10 people so you can order a 4-6 lbs lobster. The lobster here is always fresh as you get to choose a live lobster. The fried garlic and the crunchy silver fish is great. With a large group, you can order a variety of side dishes like fried squid tentacles, deep fried shrimp wonton, pork, tofu. Service is quick if you are short for time this is the place but be sure to come before 12:00 or 6:00 to beat the crowd.
