Pleasant place, delicious food and very polite servers. Very recommended.

Oh. This place has the most amazing mattresses I've ever found in every hotel. Service and restaurant are also far above average.

A friend and myself had lunch here recently. First off, the waiter brought little bread rolls and a portion of fish and curd spread (Liptauer) to share. My friend told the waiter she could not eat the fish as she was vegetarian, to which he replied that it wasn't meat. He did not offer her any alternatives, even though they take 2.80 euro cover charge per person for this. The asparagus dish I had was overcooked asparagus with a pile of completely overcooked potatoes that were hardly recognisable as such and three cheap pieces of slightly warm ham thrown over it. The sauce that came with it was quite tasty, though. For over 16 euro, this was a joke. My friend's vegan dish (I think it was cous cous with a few carrots and some other vegetables) looked very dry and unimaginative. She said it was just about ok. The waiter had a very condescending manner, which he may have thought funny - but it was not. I have a suspicion he would have treated us differently if there had been men with us and we had not just been two women out for lunch. I won't go there again, that's for sure.

We were in the associated hotel for a stop-over and are of course returned to the kirchenwirt. it was more than fabulous, a nice and cozy to upscale atmosphere. fabulous service and an excellent kitchen. Even the a tiny little critique was taken very friendly and serious and more than adequately compensated. we would recommend the kirchenwirt.
