We found online reviews saying that this place was pretty good, so we thought we would try. We went on a Sunday and the place was full of families. The server put us in a room. You do not have English menus, but with a few keywords, an online translator and great help we have made our decisions. We all ordered fish. The food was excellent. The fish I ordered with garlic was the best fish I've ever had, and I'm eating a lot of fish. My wife had fish with a sweet Asian sauce over noodles. Delicious. One of our friends had fried salmon that she loved. The other had fried fish. He wasn't so happy, but he's not a big fish lover. Weall ordered local beers that were also very pleasant. We wanted to come back, but never made it!

Super Service und lecker Essen. Zur Inneinrichtung kann ich leider nichts sagen, da ich nur den Aussenbereich genutzt habe. PS hier gibt's das beste Weizen im Ort.

Auf der suche nach einem Restaurant in Maria Alm und Hinterthal sind wir an diversen Stellen abgewiesen worden, weil wir nicht reserviert hatten, im Bachschmied waren wir sofort willkommen. Es war zwar mit Hausgästen gut gefüllt, die Bedienung hatte aber fix mit Ihrem Kollegen einen Tisch für uns zurechtgemacht.Ambiente und Architektur sind nicht besonders einladend gestaltet, eher funktionell und gerade. Um so herzlicher ist das Personal, das Essen war von der Kürbissuppe über die Putensteaks bis zum Rindercarpaccio und dem Almochsenentrecote ausgezeichnet, der Koch versteht sein Handwerk. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
