Sweet Pea Takeaway Gourmet Market

I'm spending the summer at a beach condo with my family, and I've stumbled upon this delightful little restaurant connected to our building. The staff couldn't have been more friendly, and the menu had some interesting sandwich options. I decided to try the "pb l" (I believe that's the name), and it was exceptional! It was a chicken salad sandwich with sharp provolone on an Italian roll. I couldn't find this sandwich listed on their online menu, but believe me, it's a must-try!

I want to begin by saying that I used to adore this restaurant; the owner was always welcoming and took great pride in his offerings. Sadly, this year has seen a significant decline. I’m not sure if there’s been a change in ownership, but the staff has become extremely slow and rude. Customers who arrived after us received their orders long before we did, and their meals were prepared ahead of ours. I ordered a Caprese avocado toast, but instead of balsamic glaze, it was topped with a salad dressing. The smoothies were packed with large chunks of ice. It's disappointing to admit that I won’t be returning.

The muffins, bagels, and "cruffins" here are simply delightful! My kids love the smoothies, and they provide some excellent healthy options, like the spinach and apple salad. The owners are very friendly, too!

Let me start off by stating that if you live locally or visit Margate often and you haven't been here yet you really have a treat coming your way! Do yourself a favor and stop in for some delicious always fresh sandwiches, smoothies and a bunch of other goodies. Awesome shop, fantastic owners and a friendly staff. You can't go wrong! PS the Muffaletta is incredible
