This is my first and most definitely my last time buying food..more like scraps. I ordered a large oxtail with rice and peas. When I saw the plate I had to ask if this was a large, I was very disappointed in the portion for a large, the presentation and I got white rice with green peas..what the hell is that kmt. $20+ Dollars for nothing. Dem nuh have nothing pon Dutch Pot and Donnas.
Started eating here about two months. First, a couple of times, outstanding reviews, the food tested great, serving size was adequate, and no complaints. Then it all changed, store was closed one day, food flavor changed as well. Food was bland, serving size was smaller, and more bones than meat. I can only come back for the soup. Hope they don't mess with that's too.Wheelchair accessibility: People should have more respect for the disability parking in front. If you don't have the plates or a blue or red placard, don't park there. Not a loading zone
No So JerkedThis eatery is an occasional go to as the food has an old time Jamaican taste to it and friendly atmosphere. ??Last evening I decided to try the j chicken and pork only to buy left disappointed.It was very spicy and salty.My children played with the chicken and left it. I tried the pork but could not finish it as it was high in sodium and pepper but not having that jerky flavor with the right amount of heat.As a Caribbean culture we should try to use less salt in our foods as it's not healthy to consume too much.The above pictures were taken this morning as I'm about to discard the food. ?Buyer beware Try before you buy.The one star ? is for the food only.
This is the slowest Caribbean place around. The wait time is too long. No sense of urgency or customer service. If you have an hour for lunch and just want to run in and get a lunch to go, FORGET IT. I had to wait 15 minutes before I was able to place my order and there was no one in line to order. Only one young lady was working the register and finishing up two orders for two people who ordered before I came in. There was a second older lady just walking around, talking to the people in the back and rearranging food trays up front. Meanwhile people are coming in and forming a line behind me. Not sure why she couldn't make herself useful and tend to the people in line and deal with the trays afterwards. Eventually the other young lady came and took the order and I was able to finish up and get out of there. This restaurant needs to figure out how to serve their food at a faster pace and be more respectful of people's time.
