El Rio - Margaret River

Had the Mexican ribs and chicken tacos and we're impressed with both presentation and taste Service was friendly and could not fault Atmosphere warm and cozy, open fire certainly helped Will be back that's for sure

Ordered the chilli concarn it was tastless and for the price there wasnt a lot of it there also ordered the tacos they were tastless as well wont be back the price we paid for two mains and two drinks we wont be back

Best Mexican ever! Fantastic atmosphere, staff and food. Five star place to eat and drink in lounge.

We went here without looking at trip adviser reviews.... mistake! We ordered one of each of the taco's, a good way to get a good taste of the menu. It was obvious that everything is pre cooked and prepared (like subway) and then assembled on order... the meats were not warm and there was not a lot of individuality between the different taco's. I'm not sure where the flavour was except for the jallapino's giving them some bite. The service was lack lustre and the vibe was tired and can't be bothered... not exciting Mexican: welcoming and warm. It all looked the part though with the decor being Mexican and when bought out the colour on the taco's impressed me... sadly the taste wasn't there, except the salmon taco which was the only one that left me wanting more. Wont be returning, will try the Mexican in Dunsborough instead!

El Rio has a great atmosphere and the drinks are good, but the food wasn't anything special especially for the price. The jalapeño poppers were pretty good though. I think we'll probably give El Rio another try sometime soon.
