Bistro Resto Lola - Marbella

Had lunch here with some Spanish friends. Lovely location, friendly service, tasty food. We all agreed that it was good value.

We were delighted to discover Old Marbella. We nearly left the town after just seeing the beach and prom, and had almost decided that Marbella is no longer what it once was. However Old Marbella is a maze of streets and squares which have been beautifully restored. There is a huge choice of excellent looking restaurants. We chose Lola because it looked more individual and because of its obvious Belgian influences. We were not disappointed. The owners are Belgian and the service was both friendly and impeccable. There was almost too much to choose on the quite limited menu. In the end we had prawns pili-pili, 3 cheese croquettes, spring rolls and soup to start, followed by two sole meunière, a chicken satay and Lola burger. All were excellent. The wine was reasonably priced and we were too full for desert. There is also a bargain 19.5 euro three course meal, which we'd like to try on our return.

Visited twice now, in July and October 2012. Restaurant is in a lovely location just off Orange Square, our first visit required a table for 7 adults and 2 small children but nothing was too much trouble and the food was served promptly and was delicious. Visited again last week just with my wife and again the service,the food, its presentation and value for money were all superb. Don't hesitate to try it, you'll love it

We visited this bistro in the Old Town and sampled their special menu. Very good food, very good value, very friendly and attentive service by the owners. Everybody appeared to be enjoying their meals indoors and outdoors. Well worth a visit.

People who like to be spoiled by good food added with an out of the ordinary Belgium flavour, this is the place to go. Over the past many years we visited numbers of restaurants, but feel LOLA before called Belle Epoc, is outshining in the crowded eateries of Marbella’s old town centre. The high standard of quality, the friendly service and personal attention show their decades of experience in Brussels. Modestly priced, assuring good value for your money and an unforgettable experience of your evening out.
