Contribuiți la feedbackI went in for a late glass of wine. There are several seats outside. I stayed inside. It was a quiet night. Three staff on duty but one of them had to be prompted to serve me. She wasn’t friendly. I wasn’t offered a drinks menu. I explained that I’d like a glass of red wine and she immediately turned away and brought me back an unknown wine it was actually fine but... It’s a nice clean venue. Looks like I picked the wrong night.
While in San Pedro, my partner, my 22-year old daughter and I had dinned at the newly opened Amapole spanish restaurant in downtown San Pedro. Excellent choice. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our food, the ambiance, and the special attention by the polyglot staff.
Called in for tapas because we remembered it from La Sala days. Only been open 4 months and the staff were really helpful and both food and service were fine. Priced for the locals, not tourists and should do well once they get a steady following. One of the nicest Russian salads we've had for a long time and the Spanish omelette was both fresh and hot. Raff tomato salad was a bit pricy at €9 but very tasty. Worth a visit.
The restaurant is rather new in San Pedro and our visit was the first one here. We were a group consisting of three adults and two children aged five and three years. The adults all ordered Amapole hamburger. We had a question regarding the menu and then found out that the waiter did not understand english. We had to wait for another waiter who could serve us. No childrens menu but we were told what they could have. Ordered chicken nuggets and miniburger. Then a new waiter came with plates and cutlery. What the plates were for we never understood because when the food came the plates were taken away. This waiter did not speak english either. Two of the hamburgers and the nuggets was served and this was OK. The last hamburger we had to wait for and when this was served it was not warm. The waiter took this to the kitchen again. It was served again and was still not warm. A new return to the kitchen and this time we waited a long time for the burger. The burger then was OK. The miniburger for the three year old never showed up. We had to ask for it twice and when we finally got it we got two! The englishspeaking waiter was anxious to tell us that the problems was not his fault but the kitchen. I have never experienced such a behaviour on behalf of a restaurant. Never an apaology, only excuses and we paid full price for the meals. Not recommended.
