Some furnitures remember the moroccan style, but not too much: they seem more a fusion german- moroccan. Not easy to order because the menu was only in German as well as the waiter did not speak English very well. I already visited Morocco for tourism purpose as well as the moroccan kitchen. Let's say, "chez Slimane" is not a so strong memory of it.We shared a dish with mixed meat (lamb, beef,..): not bad, it seemed big but more of vegetables rather than of meat. Well cooked, but I expected something more. Quantity of meat first of all. The reason why I had to ask a dessert as well: it was a moroccan cake. Not bad.The price was acceptable: with a beer and a coffee, about 25 Euro per person. However, the credit cards are not accepted! Payment in cash only. Unbeliavable.Maybe this restaurant is to try if you want to eat something different from the (heavy) german kitchen. However the expectations have not be too high.
North African restaurant with a nice location directly opposite of Schiller's birth house. Very friendly staff and good atmosphere in the dining room. The menu is not very comprehensive, but the dishes are carefully made with fresh ingredients and high skills. The starter was two delicious börek sticks served on a salad. The cous cous was served just as it's supposed to. Among Marbach's restaurants, the Chez Slimane is one of the best.
