We had a fantastic dining experience at a restaurant in Marathon! We went for lunch and the food, service, and atmosphere were all top-notch, receiving perfect ratings across the board.

If you're headed to Alpine or Terlingua, a stop here is a MUST!. The brisket is amazing the bark is unmatched. We had a long drive and shared the Vaquero Sandwich: Brisket with House Made Jalepeno cheddar sausage! DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Pickled onions and pickles are on the side, also tasty little treats to compliment their sweet BBQ sauce. Do the peach cobbler!!! Can't wait to come back next year! What a jem! Unfortunately we ate everything and nothing to take a photo of, lol! Parking: Limited spots, parallel parking on the street. Kid-friendliness: Several kids were dining in, pet friendly.

Visited here for dinner and had a plate with their house-made sausage and brisket with coleslaw and beans. The sausage is awesome, and really well spiced. The brisket was good, and SUPER tender, it almost melted in my mouth. The sides were alright, the slaw could use a bit more salt, but was otherwise pretty tasty. I ended up putting the slaw on top of the sausage, and ate them together, which ended up making both taste even better. The beer here is also great!

I attempted to determine their operating hours for New Year's Day by sending messages on Facebook, but did not receive a response. The information on their voicemail was not helpful either. We drove by the restaurant a few times, but it was closed each time. We have decided to explore other dining options. It seems like they are only open Thursday through Sunday, but this is not confirmed. I would rate the service as 1 out of 5 stars.
